Credential Expiration Alerts

Puush automatically monitors credential expiration dates and sends notifications when credentials are about to expire or have already expired. No configuration is needed — these alerts are sent automatically.

How It Works

Puush runs a daily check of all credentials in the system:

  • Before expiration — a one-time "expiring soon" notification is sent to the credential owner.
  • After expiration — a reminder is sent every 7 days until the credential is renewed or updated.

Who Gets Notified

  • The credential owner (the user the credential is assigned to) always receives the alert.
  • If the credential category has designated notification recipients configured by an administrator, those users also receive alerts for expiring credentials in that category.

Notifications are delivered via in-app message, plus email or SMS depending on your delivery channel settings.

See Credential Categories for details on configuring category notification recipients.

caution

Credential expiration alerts are only sent for credentials that have an expiration date set. Make sure expiration dates are entered when creating credentials.
